We provide Recreational Therapy (RT), an allied health profession. 
​The National Cancer Institute defines our speciality as,
​  "A type of therapy that uses activities to help meet the physical and emotional needs of patients with an illness or disability and help them develop skills for daily living."

How Does This Work?

3. Recreational Therapist will Create Plan to Attain Your Goals by Implementing Activities in Weekly Sessions.
  • Serving clients of all ages (Pediatric, Adult, Geriatric).
  • Online, In-Person at our center in Leander and ​via mobile therapy teams in the greater Austin, Texas area. 
  • ​Center for Therapeutic Recreational Technology (CTRT) is located in Leander with Biofeedback Therapy, Video Gaming Therapy, and Virtual Reality Therapy.
  • ​In the greater Austin, Texas area we utilize Mobile Therapy Teams providing Aquatic Therapy, outdoor Ecotherapy (Nature Therapy), Community-Based, Assisted Living Based, Home-Based (on a limited basis) and School-Based sessions. 

How Can This Help Me?

Recreational therapists, or therapeutic recreation specialists, use creative healing methods to help people with illnesses or disabilities become active again.
